I’m a self employed digital artist, photographer, photo editor and designer.

Formally trained in Edinburgh as a graphic designer in the mid to late 90’s, I turned to photography and photo editing in 2008 after a lengthy hiatus in the financial services sector.

I’m self taught on Photoshop, Affinity, ID and AI and most of the Microsoft office suite too. Anything new I need to know I find out. I'm always learning!

My main inspiration is the world around me, the environment both built and natural is a wonderful source of imagery for my work. My other influences are pop culture movies and comic books. I do love creating a sense of cinematic drama in my work.

I’ve found that some of my most popular images aim to capture the essence of a specific place actually evoke memories of that place inviting the viewer to remember times gone by. Other images aim to make the ordinary, extraordinary.

I’ve exhibited my work in my studio and welcomed thousands of visitors through the local open studios movement since May 2013. I’ve made great connections in the local artist and business community and hope to strengthen these links going forward. I’m also looking to get more of my work into some local galleries too.

My goal is to own and run my own print studio, gallery and coffee shop in my home town of Edinburgh, Scotland.
